Team Off-siteWorked with a senior team in a biotech company to address low trust, to integrate a new member, and to improve communication skills. I interviewed each team member and team leader to identify those concerns. The manager and I and HR business partner agreed on an agenda. The day was successful as people learned more about each other and themselves, their preferred communication style, and agreed on some changes in the communication processes. I introduced Interaction Styles since it is a straightforward personality model that focuses on how others interact through their communication.

Year-long Leadership Program
A team of 4 facilitators and designers led 3 one-week sessions scattered over a year. Participants were high potentials and leaders in the company around the world. Many CxOs, vice presidents, and directors considered themselves privileged to be chosen and afforded the ability to hone their skills.

The program offered 360 assessments, coaching skills, and advanced communication skills including dialogue, advocacy, inquiry, mental models. During the sessions, participants were video-taped working with other leaders in the company to help them address their current problems.

Each facilitator/coach held monthly coaching calls with up to 10 participants to reinforce the learning and to provide coaching on their current situations.

The retention rate of those in the program far exceeded that of all other employees.

Design, Development, Delivery of Performance Management classes

A major Health Insurance company sought a cohesive and comprehensive set of programs to revitalize their performance management process and to provide the necessary skills for success. All managers were required to attend the programs to provide consistency in leadership.

I was a lead designer and facilitator for management courses for setting goals, delegating assignments, and coaching for performance.

I also created and facilitated an interviewing skills course available to all managers.

Rollout of Performance Management courses to over 400 employees in a major wine producers in Napa Valley.

We rolled out courses on performance management for both managers and employees. Employees were provided guidance in receiving and helping their manager be clear with their feedback, managing their own reactions, and soliciting effective feedback from their managers.

Facilitated 3 in-house Myers-Briggs qualifying programs tailored to their specific application needs. Clients included a major software firm in the top 100 places to work.

Presentation skills for leaders rolling out a major organizational change.

I was one of a handful of coaches selected to work with the top tier of a major food/retail organization to prepare leaders to enroll the next tiers of management into the change process.

Led many Apple University management courses in the early 1990s as an outside consultant.
