Frequently Asked Questions
The Meg Ellis Method
What is The Meg Ellis Method?
The Meg Ellis Method is a somatic, mindset, and soul-based movement and coaching experience for people who are done searching outward for who they're supposed to be. Created by award-winning life coach and somatic facilitator Meg Ellis, it works at the intersection of Body, Brain, and Behavior to create identity-level transformation — not by building something new, but by recovering what was always there. Equal parts science-backed and soul-rooted, it is the only method built entirely around one premise: you are not here to be fixed. You are here to remember.
What is somatic movement and how is it different from a regular fitness class?
Somatic movement is a gentle, body-led practice that focuses on how movement feels from the inside rather than how it looks from the outside. Unlike a traditional fitness class that pushes you to perform, somatic movement invites you to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with your body's natural intelligence. Through intentional movement, breath, and awareness, it helps release stored tension, unwind emotions held in the body, and restore a genuine sense of ease and presence.
Why is somatic movement considered a luxury wellness experience?
Because true restoration is rare. Most wellness offerings push people to do more — more reps, more intensity, more output. Somatic movement does the opposite. It creates space to decompress, reset the nervous system, and come back to yourself in a way that feels genuinely nourishing. When people leave a somatic session feeling calmer, lighter, and more at home in their bodies, that's not something they can get at a standard gym class — and that's exactly what makes it a standout experience worth talking about.
What is NLP?
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is a framework that explores how thoughts, language, and internal patterns shape the way we feel and respond to life. It helps participants identify limiting beliefs, old stories, and subconscious loops—then gently rewire them into more empowering, supportive perspectives.
In group settings, NLP becomes even more powerful: shared insight and collective reflection help breakthroughs land deeper and expand more quickly.
What Is Meditation?
Meditation is a guided awareness practice that quiets mental noise and brings participants into deeper presence. In this relaxed state, the nervous system softens, the subconscious becomes more open, and the body feels safe enough to release what it’s been holding.
Meditation supports:
• Calmer thoughts and clearer focus
• Nervous system regulation
• Deeper emotional insight
• Integration of new beliefs and perspectives
It creates the inner space needed for transformation to take root.
Why does The Meg Ellis Method pair NLP + Meditation?
NLP brings clarity to what needs to shift.
Meditation opens the doorway for how it shifts.
Together, they create a powerful pathway for inner work: the mind becomes receptive, the body relaxes, and new beliefs integrate at a deeper level—making change feel natural, intuitive, and long-lasting.
Meg’s approach blends these two modalities seamlessly, guiding groups into meaningful internal shifts that support greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and conscious transformation.
What kinds of groups do you work with?
Meg works with luxury residential buildings, boutique properties, and corporations wanting to offer wellness to their employees across New York City and beyond. Virtual programming is also available for properties outside NYC.
What space do you need to run a session?
Most sessions work beautifully in standard amenity spaces — a lounge, rooftop, fitness studio, or event room. Meg will work with whatever space your building has available and ensure it feels warm, intentional, and fully set up for the experience.
How many people can participate?
Sessions can be designed for groups of 6 to 50+ people depending on the format. Meg will recommend the ideal group size based on the experience you choose.
Can we book Meg for an ongoing monthly program?
Absolutely — ongoing monthly programming is one of the most popular options, especially for residential communities. It creates consistency, builds community over time, and gives residents something to look forward to every month. Customized scheduling is also available.

Corporate Wellness
Do team members need to know their Enneagram type before the workshop?
Not at all — professional assessments are included as part of the experience. Team members will discover and explore their types together as part of the session.
How long does an Enneagram team workshop typically run?
A group debrief and team workshop typically runs 2–3 hours. For deeper exploration including individual sessions, a half-day or full-day format is recommended. Meg will advise on the best fit for your team size and goals.
Do employees need any fitness experience for mindful movement sessions?
None at all. These sessions are gentle, accessible, and designed for every body and every fitness level. No equipment is needed — just a willingness to slow down and tune in.
What space is needed to run a mindful movement session?
Any open floor space works — a conference room, event space, or office common area. Meg will work with whatever your building has available and ensure the space feels warm, grounded, and ready for the experience.
How far in advance do we need to book a corporate retreat?
For the best availability and experience, we recommend starting the planning process 6–12 months in advance. However, shorter timelines can sometimes be accommodated depending on the destination and group size.
Can the retreat be customized to fit our company's specific goals?
Absolutely. Every corporate retreat is built from scratch around your team's culture, objectives, and budget — from the destination and accommodations to the workshops, coaching sessions, and adventure experiences included.
Private Coaching
What is the 90-Day Mindset Makeover?
Meg's signature private coaching program designed to help you identify and break the fears, habits, and patterns keeping you stuck — and replace them with self-trust, confidence, and a clear action plan aligned with the life you're meant to live.
Is coaching done online or in person?
Meg mainly offers sessions virtually but does offer in-person coaching in New York City based on availability and location, making her programs accessible to women worldwide.
Who is private coaching with Meg best suited for?
While Meg's method works for anyone willing to put in the work, Meg works primarily with women who feel stuck on autopilot, struggle with self-doubt or people-pleasing, or are high-achieving but quietly unfulfilled — and are ready to do the real inner work. She has a team of coaches who all cater to different niches and can recommend the perfect fit for you.
How is Meg's coaching different from traditional therapy?
Meg's work is forward-focused and action-oriented. While therapy often explores the past, coaching with Meg uses the past as context — then moves you toward clarity, self-trust, and conscious creation of the life you want.
